Time is the fire in which we burn.
Gene Roddenberry
TIME TO FIRST COFFEE.what were you thinking? Today 104 minutes.
This morning so far, gathered wood, sawed wood by hand, made kindling, fed cats, hauled wood pellets for litterboxes, changed litterboxes, rescued cat from the garage, gathered snow started a fire, put snow on top of the wood stove for melt, filled the kettle with first load of snow, snapped pictures, petted cats, shoveled poop.
And I wonder why I am out of breath.
Elapsed time so far 1 hour. Still need to gas up the gen, get it started.
By then I should have enough water hot enough for coffee. I need enough to fill the thermos and fill my two cupper with coffee.
Well that was fun. I lost my robe tie somewhere. As I was trying fill the kettle, I could smell smoke. I looked down and my robe was about to catch fire. No problem , not one to panic I grabbed some snow from the big bowl and put it out.
Hour and a half gone by still waiting for the kettle. It only a half full today I will settle for that. Not interested in lighting my self on fire again.
