I’m not your usual cup of tea.
Ralphie May
There is a foot of snow in the driveway. I won’t be travelling anywhere.
As usual, cats are fed, water checked, fire restarted, kettle filled and on top of the woodstove.
As you see, I did go out to the driveway to check the snow levels and while I was out, I did check for new Lynx tracks and snapped the two pics you see above.
As usual, I wait for water to boil, while getting warm by the fire.
As usual, I will put on my winter clothes, grab the big bowl and machete and gather snow for melt.
Big decisions to make today, what will I have for breakfast, do I cut up the banana before I put it in the cereal or before?
At some time I will have to find firewood, get fuel, get the gen filled haul it outside, get it started.
Then it’s time to kill bad aliens, so the good ones can live. Don’t worry, humans too. In the end, most get saved. Until the next game, then the stakes are higher.
Finally, some steam is rising from the spout of the kettle. As usual, I estimate in 15 or 20 minutes I will be enjoying that first cup.
As usual, I find a way to endure the pains of my body. Today back, kidney, shoulder and headache.
