Kindling done

Fire construction done

Cats fed done

Bring in 6 foot 2 x 12 done

Saw 2 x12 into smaller boards done

Go out in the fierce cold wind to gather snow done. That was fun

Snap pics done.

Fill cats bowls with snow done

Fill kettle with snow done

Go out and rescue stupid cat. That spent the night outside done.

Drag 2 x 12 x 12 foot board inside in fierce wind done

Cut board in two pieces in mid air done

Fill gas can for gen done

Carry 6 foot board, saw, drill, and full gas can all at the same time bring it in  done

Check heart rate 100 done

Check kettle and cats water done but not ready

I can’t believe that all got done. The best part I am still alive. The cat that ran outside yesterday at full gallop while I was bringing in the gen. It is not all the way inside but in the garage. At least it is out of the wind.

The wind makes the cold feel 10 times worse. Windchill they call it. I just call it really fucking cold.

I have ten minutes before the kettle is ready. I am going to try to stick it out here with the boy cats till the water bowls are done. By then the kettle should be at full boil.

I may try a few cuts on the board I brought in while I wait. Ya you knew. I would cut the rest of the board up. I would have chopped it into smaller pieces but the cats were huddled around the water bowl, too close to the chopping.

Kitchen cats fed and watered. Their job is to keep mice out of the kitchen. They are loners and don’t like other cats. The prefer living there.

I am horizontal, well mostly, my legs are. Trying to bring down my pulse rate. Down to seventy five.

I need to make coffee, have vitamins and breakfast. Then find a quote and music for today.

I just looked at the weather, the gusts were 30 km and temp was around -23. Windchill must have been -30.

The last thing I needed to do was gas up and start the gen. That would be at 11 AM when the temp is a little warmer.
