The key to sitcom success is miserable people. If you see a happy couple, it’s just gone, like when Sam and Diane got together on Cheers.

Originally, the coming snowstorm was forecasted for today, so I cancelled my doctor’s appointment to review a cat scan I had done a month ago. I think the toxic contrast dye did more damage than I had when I went in.
My appointment is for next Friday now. A month and 7 days after the CT. I went in to see if the mass in my lungs was growing, or the cysts on my kidneys, or if my swollen prostate was worse. I had also hoped they would see the ascites I knew I had. Or maybe even what was causing the sharp pains in my abdomen. Ultrasound couldn’t see it, they said gas was obscuring the view.
I have since read CT can miss catching the ascites, which might explain why the lower half of my lungs are collapsed. Oh and I forgot the almond size lump in my testicle, the mass on my thyroid, which was going to be biopsied but couldn’t because the asshat at the other end of the phone kept trying to book me for the biopsy first then the ultrasound they needed to guide the biopsy later. Then that same asshat called me and said I was not important and cancelled my appointment due to Covid. Her words. She said the appointment would be rebooked. Of course, I never heard from her or that department again.
No biopsy was ever done on the testicle lump. The great new doctor I had suffered some kind of mental breakdown and actually quit medicine.
That leaves me with the extreme back pain from a car accident. Successfully ignored by the surgeon who did surgery on a neck fracture and a senile GP that actually lied to AISH and cost me a year worth of benefits.
Then ignored by every doctor since. That’s a long story, even includes torture and neglect by some very nasty nurses at GP Hospital.
I ended up going to town today anyway. All my cat food orders came in all at once. 8 big bags, that should get us through the snowstorm. I also got three 40 pound jugs of water and a few groceries. I also washed a couple more blankets and my winter overalls. I would need those soon.
As always, they were not really dry after a few rounds in the laundromat dryer, so they are hanging up inside to finish drying.
My second Lithium battery arrives Monday, after the blizzard. I may have to wait till the middle of next week to pick it up depending on snow removal, depth of snowdrifts. Yes, there will be snowdrifts with 30 km winds arriving with the storm. Too bad the cabling for the battery arrived today.
I just checked my voltage on my battery here, it is only 60% full after charging under cloudy conditions. I may have to run the gen again today and tomorrow just before the storm.
I noticed walking was more difficult, along with breathing, and lifting. Pain was radiating from my abdomen, front and back on the left side. I haven’t tried bringing in the water bottles yet. I was a little worried about that. My muscles were getting weaker. Oh well, long as I can use my Xbox controller and open a can of food, I would survive. Oh and make coffee.
Now watching binge-watching Cheers again
