It is the way that things work that intrigues me. When I remove my snowboots, I have to take the right one off first. If I don’t, the inner insulated liner comes out. No big deal right.
Wrong, it takes me ten painful minutes to get it back in there. So the world works. Do it the right way or pay the price. In my case the right boot.
I was up early, fed the cats, started a fire, melted snow, watered the cats. It is 20 in the fireroom and most of the snow melted is melted. I will have to go out soon and get more. That is a do it very soon thing.
Today it will get colder as the day progesses, instead of the opposite. The forecssters now say the minus 32 that was forecast for last night will arrive later today.
I will let the fire go out and hope the bottom 10 inch layer of wood pellets used and unused keep the house warm. I am very low on wood.
I went out for more snow, it is not sunrise yet. I was toying with the idea of starting the gen and burning my last half tank of gas until I felt the cold wind on my face. It was bitey cold.
I brought the snow in and tripped while I was carrying that heavy load. I managed to land so I didn’t spill too much snow. I picked up the giant bowl and carried on
I am sure I would feel the injuries later.
It is 2 PM. I am down tending the fire and the snow bowl collecting the snow melted. Cats bowls are filled. I collected an extra 4 liters for later. No Xbox today I needed every amp of power from my panels to recharge my batteries and that is not enough.
I needed fuel and I needed my Amazon order to come in. I might have one more favor to call in. I hoped I could do both pickup my order and get fuel.
A 12 hour extreme cold warming has been issued. Temps with windchill -40.
Waiting patiently for miracles. Or coincidences.
